Promptly after Amare Stoudemire returned from a “bruised knee” in the preseason and professed himself at 100%, it was quickly announced that he would be out 2-3 weeks with a cyst in that surgically repaired knee. At the time I thought there was more than met the eye.
Over the past weekend, reports surfaced that it would be more like 4-5 weeks before we saw Amare on the court again.
Today, The Knicks announced that Stoudemire may actually miss 6 weeks.
Let’s just save everyone a lot of trouble and save Stoudemire for after the All-Star break.
I’ve never heard of an NBA player battling a cyst after banging knees, let alone battling it for over a month.
At this rate, we’ll see D-Rose on the court before we see ’STAT’.
