Former All-Star Rasheed Wallace has informed the Knicks that he will sign with them this week, according to the New York Post. He will join the team on Monday for Media Day.
‘Sheed’ worked out for NYK this past week and apparently has made a final decision on his playing future.
Wallace last played for the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, and has since been linked to returning to play for both Boston as well as the Lakers. He will help back-up Tyson Chandler along with other ex-Knickerbockers Marcus Camby & Kurt Thomas…..no word on if Patrick Ewing is also thinking of returning to the Knicks lineup.
I was sure that the Knicks would a young ‘bigman’ to their roster in training camp. Apparently no one is listening to me.
