Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Boston Celtics are in final discussions with shooting guard Jason Terry on a multi-year contract.
This is not intended to affect the status of Ray Allen. Doc Rivers has said that he would like to sign both shooters this summer.
Terry’s contract is likely for the mid-level exception. Some reports are that the Mavericks will be given a chance to match it.
This move comes after O.J. Mayo has apparently priced himself out of Boston’s range.
