Nets Acquire Gerald Wallace

The New Jersey Nets have acquired forward Gerald Wallace from the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Yahoo Sports.

The Blazers receive Mehmet Okur, Shawne Williams, and a protected (top 3) 2012 1st round pick to Portland.

With Dwight Howard off the market, New Jersey is desperately trying to surround Deron Williams with All-Star level talent.

The talks appeared to have started with Jamal Crawford‘s name, but he is ear-marked to go in a 3-team deal to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Trail Blazers appear to be giving up on this season as the team has slid out of the playoff picture out west.
