All of us NBA-ers remember where we were when the infamous brawl between the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers on November 19, 2004. I was watching League Pass (as usual) and luckily clicked over from a Lakers-Suns game to catch most of the event. Then, in the aftermath, more footage was shown on all the networks…my first thought was that the league would never be the same. I was right…..the NBA has been changed forever. Today, you get a technical foul for breathing on someone, and the refs act like there’s a bomb threat whenever two guys start jawing at each other.

I’ll never forget that day. The Pacers were going to the Finals that yr and then it all fell apart. Sad.
