Head coach Doc Rivers has moved center Jermaine O’neal to the bench in favor of the younger Brandon Bass…could Paul Pierce be next?
The Boston Celtics lost their third home game in a row Friday night versus the rival Chicago Bulls. The team is struggling to score points this season and their team captain Paul Pierce is struggling big time after coming back from an injured heel…avergaing 13 ppg and shooting 36%. He looks a step slow on both ends of the floor and may be hurting the team as a starter. The Celtics are falling behind early in games (vs Mavericks, Bulls especially). With the athletic Oklahoma City Thunder coming into Boston on MLK Day, the team may be better off bringing ‘The Truth’ off the bench in favor of Mickael Pietrus.
Now we know why Danny Ainge traded Kendrick Perkins last season to add small forward depth….but following heart surgery, Jeff Green is not walking through that door.

The Truth is, Paul Pierce looks old and out of shape. Marquis should start again
You cannot bench Paul after everything he has done for that franchise
Ray is the only one with trade value, move him for a big now!
without paul we would have lost to the wizards. the truth lives.
I think that Pierce will be just fine as the season goes on. I worry though about Kevin Garnet and the bigs. They won’t hold up.
it’s not on paul this yr
Brandon Bass need s to get more minutes fro Doc. He is their most consistent player this season.
